Procedures for Student Clubs (.pdf format)

Application for Student Club. All student clubs must be approved by the principal and the Leadership class.

Club Constitutions. If you sponsor a club you must have a constitution on file in the student store. Please note that all bulletin announcements to "raise funds" can trigger a schoolwide audit...especially if there is no club constitution on file. So... please complete club registrations and constitutions and have them on file immediately!

On-campus fundraising and collecting money. All money collected from students on school premises must be deposited through the school's Student Store.

Tutoring and Mentoring

• Remember many teachers at Muir offer before and after school individual tutoring. Contact your teachers for current information on which teachers in their department are providing tutoring. All teachers who participate in the UCTP program are required to offer tutoring.
• YWCA – Homework Assistance Monday through Friday, 3:15 PM– 4:00 PM.
• AVID Peer Mentoring and Tutoring. Mentoring for students with 2.0 to 3.5 grade point averages. Avid flyer.
• Children Uniting Nations – Academic Mentoring Program provides in-class mentors for students requiring assistance. Program places special emphasis on assisting students from foster homes. Contact: Ms. Canales.
• Beyond the Bell – Click on the picture of the "Free Tutoring" brochure (also available in Spanish).
• A+ Educational Centers (en Español) – Free tutoring; 1-on-1 and small groups. A+ online information. 1-800-700-2758.
• Catapult Online – Get free tutoring for your child and qualify for a free computer. Information.
• Internet Online Tutoring (not LAUSD sponsored–some of it fee-based)
• Online Homework Assistant (not LAUSD sponsored–fee-based)
