The "Magnet Office" is Ms. Patterson's desk in the Counseling Office (Phone: 323-565-2242).
The Muir Magnet Middle School is a special "school within a school" providing students with a middle school education with a Math/Science emphasis. There are only 124 students in the program, and that helps keep the classes small and high achieving. Part of the University of Southern Califronia (USC) Neighborhood Academic Initiative Program, the Muir Magnet program offers automatic admission to USC, with a five-year, fully-paid-tution scholarship, to those students who qualify. For more information about the Magnet program, read the Muir Middle School Magnet Program Brochure. To apply for the program, use the application in the Choices brochure available through LAUSD Magnet Program Information.
